My interest in selling meteorites began back in the late 1980s when I realized there were few people selling them and much of what was offered was overpriced. Back in those days, there were less than two dozen sellers or dealers of meteorites. My earliest sales were to friends and acquaintances and over a period of time I had repeat customers.  I eventually produced a hand-typed catalog with a picture or two which also helped promote my business. Since there wasn't an internet then as we now know it, advertising in publications, word-of-mouth and building a customer data base was the way I increased my meteorite sales. I doubled my sales for four years in a row by providing quality meteorite specimens to those who only had dreamed of owning one in the past.

These days there are well over 300 dealers and dealer collectors. Some are more knowledgeable than others, some have better prices than others but there are many overpriced dealers and those who lack the appropriate knowledge to provide authentic, good quality meteorite specimens today.
